Anyone else have this? How awful a sound this is!! Seems like after a few stops the pads heat up the front left begins a high pitched mating call to some doglike alien on Jupiter.. Never had this on the urS4 or the 200. So, believe it or not, brake squealing is new to me. I assume some of you guys have come up with a fix for this... until I can get her into the drydock (sept 29th for its 10k service) and have zee Owdee Doktor grab it by the sack and say "cough".. I tried a few heavy stops from speed.. no help.. Ideas?

the pad had worn all the way down to the backing plate on one side. My symptoms were:
no noise for first 5 minutes of driving (ie, when brakes were cold). After 5 mins or so, a continuous non-stop screeching (not too loud, but very obnoxious and loud enough to get people staring at me) that would stop only when I stepped on the brakes (or lightly applied the hand brake, since it was on the rear). After braking, once underway again, the screeching returned full force.
Sound familiar??
My suggestion to you: immediately check the thickness of your front brake pads! I'd hate to see you grind some grooves into your front rotors.
Good luck.
