The car has gone 125mph, I thought the limiter was set to 120.... haven't tried to go over 130 yet, hard to find a safe place.
Anyway, If it had a chip, they would have taken it out before they sold me the car, right? They would never sell an extended warrenty on a chipped car, would they?
My oil seems to stay cool even under hard driving. Have never seen the needle go past 200 degrees. I have tried. Spent 20 or so minutes, after engine was warmed up, changing speeds from 40mph to 80+ mph, accel hard every time. Still, would not go over 200. Maybe the gauge is broke... Is there a way to tell if the exhaust is stock? Audi tech told me that better exhaust would lead to cooler oil. I run straight petroleum oil, I am going to change to blended synthetic next oil change,,, go full synthetic after that.
Suspension seems to corner too well for such a big car. I know I have the sport package, but even when I coast through a corner, I can corner better in this 2 ton car than I could in my 1800 pound Saturn SC2. By better I mean less body roll and can carry more speed through a turn. I have better tires on the Audi, so I know why it grips better, but it has a lot less body roll that the much lighter GM car.
I am probably just dazzled by the Audi,, if somone who has swapped the sway bar, chipped the engine and upgraded the shocks/springs were to drive it, they would probably think my A6 was slow, soft, and stock... but I love this car!!!

too abrasive and try and stick it to the doors, the quarter panels and the hood. this way you'll know if it's been in a body shop or not. i believe that a lot of body shops (in order to cut corners) use replacement pieces that have plastic resins in it. the magnet is a good test. if i'm wrong... do correct me. anything else, like sway bars and suspension, the guys here will know better.

Limiter allegedly set at 130 not 120, but "the driver" ran out of road before reaching confidence he'd gotten an unlimited car. That was a very early build car though, which *may* not have had the factory limiter code in place....

Top estimated speed: 130 mph (203 kmh) - Electronically limted for North America
Mike,
That is right out of the model guide at the top
of the page. You should read it as it will answer some of your questions.
As far as if it has been modified just compare it to the stock equipment or take a photo of say the exhuast and post it, we'll tell you. Most Audi equipment is preformance minded, so yes it will drive nice and be superior to most cars you have previously driven. There are room for improvement in areas, it just depends on -you-.
