Default How do these TSB's work?

I found the TSB on my car 2001 A6, 2.8 and i just called the dealer and was told if Audi of USA does not make a recall on that TSB they will not update the ECU. No help at all.

Now i found this TSB on NHTSA site about the Catalytic Converter Diagnostic Trouble Codes TSB number:0504 and 0502.

I will replace the cats but when i had the car in at the dealer about 2 years ago they told me they checked the cats and they looked good and performed well and they had no idea why the codes were being thrown by the ECU.

Codes say: Catylist Below Threshold bank one. How can i get these morons to update my ECU? I just got off the phone and they told me they won't do it.

Help please..<ul><li><a href="http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/results.cfm?start=16&amp;SearchType=DrillDown&amp; type=VEHICLE&amp;year=2001&amp;make=AUDI&amp;model =A6&amp;vehtype=UNK&amp;typenum=1&amp;component_id =0&amp;summary=true">http://www-odi.

If you get no response after calling AOA then call the NHTSA.

Default ECU update

I believe there is some information on the passatworld.com forum about this. I think the v6 passat shares the same engine as the a6. It appears that the vw owners are no less frustrated than the audi owners. Good luck

Of course. It won't cost anything but time.
