Default How hard to replace front end links? DIY or not?

I would rank myself as a 2 (on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being master tech). Anyone with any experience doing this? 2001 A6 w/PSK. Installed H-sports (myself) a couple weeks ago and dealership says front endlinks and bushings are worn and need to be replaced with something beefier. (Car has 65k+ miles and we have had suspension clunking since the H-sports were installed.) Does $350 seem reasonable for this job?

Thanks.

Default To replace the end links and bushings, you probably need to replace the control arms.

Not that hard to do if you can remove the whole suspension assembly. There are 3 bolts in the engine compartment, 1 at the end links (this one is a real pain - need lots of rust penetrant, WD-40, etc to loosen that bolt), and 1 where it meets the lower arm. That's the hardest part. I think there are options to savethe arm, but replace the bushings, but I don't know much about it. Good luck.

Well, we gave the dealer the go-ahead, so I assume (?) it will be done right, whatever that means...
