Is there a way to identify what factory options were included in an A6, e.g. from the Vin No.? I'm looking at a 2001 A6 2.7T. Seller was told by the dealer who sold it to him new it included the sport package. But it doesn't have sport seats, and the wheels are the BBS wheels that were standard in the 2002 sport package but not 2001. My guess is no sport suspension, but it would be helpful to identify exactly what options were in the car. Any ideas?

the wheels were offered both as part of the sports package or as a stand alone option...if it has the wheels, but does not have the sport seats, the the likelyhood is that it does not have the sport suspension. if you would like to check the options, the windows sticker would have it of course, but should the window sticker not be available there is a rectangular sticker in the spare wheel well that should have the information you are looking for.

won't necessarily relate to the option codes you see on edmunds.com but someone made a brief list of them previously... try searching the archives...
