I have 1998 A6 with ABS light on and flashing BRAKE light + 3 beeps. Also VAG scanner says "Intermittent connection with ABS controller".
I guess the ABS module is bad.
I found a video instructions on how to remove ABS module (thanks to modulemaster.com). Seems pretty straight forward and easy.
I plan to ship it to them for repair.
I was wondering are there any special tasks that I should perform when I install a new (rebuilt) ABS module back on my car.
Do I need to reset anything in my car computer or similar?
Thanks

The only tricky part I found was the windshield washer tank. I yanked a hose reaching in which resulted in a big puddle in the garage.
I didn't have to reset anything after installing the repaired unit.

Windshield washer bottle was the most difficult. After struggling with wires for a while and getting the tank out, I realised the little pumps can actually be slid out of their place without having to disconnect the wires. All in all not a difficult process at all.
