and the rear seems higher than stock. I drove it home from work (the installer came to my office) and also drove on some twisty roads but it hasn't come down. Any suggestions?

Default I had trouble with the ride height on my old A6 with Eibachs

If I could do it all over aqain H&R's, I think either the eibachs don't fit as well or there engineer's concept of the correct height is not the same as mine

Default Re: Mine are perfect

No problems and love the ride. Koni adjustables as well set in the middle (firmness). MUCH better than stock in feel and look. Took about 2-3 days to fully settle.

Default Ah just put a couple of bodies in the trunk, that should fix it.

But seriously, I hope they do settle and its just a fluke. I want Eibachs too. Keep us posted.

Default I've been waiting since april to hear final word from eibach....

regarding this same issue. I had the eibach pro kit and bilstein shocks installed on my 2000 A6 4.2. The front was not lowered at all and the back dropped about a 1/4 of an inch. I immediately contacted eibach tech support and after numerous conversations we confirmed that I had the appropriate kit. They claim that the kit would lower my car 1.2 inches on their website and I spoke with a tech support person prior to buying the kit and was told that the kit would lower my car 1.3 inches. I was finally told by a supervisor that they have never installed a pro kit on a 4.2 in the U.S.. They based all of their figures on the european cars and kits, and were told by Audi that there was no difference between the U.S. and European A6's. They are currently installing a kit on a 4.2 in their own shop and they plan on contacting me regarding the results once completed. I will keep everyone posted.

Default Please let us know. As you know it's very frustrating to spend this money.....

and not see the results that your looking for. I do feel a difference in the ride and I'm currently waiting for my H-Sport sway bars.

Default Holy crap, you're kidding me. They never installed their own kit on a US spec 4.2, but.....

they are shippign the p/n 1580 kits into the US for US Spec cars.

Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable.

I was pretty much sold on going with the Eibachs, but now it makes me wonder.

It also makes one wonder whether H&R installed their springs on a 4.2 at all, or are they guessin about it too?
