How long to replace a thermostat on a 1999 A6 2.8L QUATTRO

Also where is the thermostat?

You may as well do a full timing belt and waterpump job. The thermostat is behind there.

10 minutes....

...Once you get the timing belt off.

...or about 8 hours total, 10 if you do all the cam adjuster seals with the job.
