Default The electrical connection weren't designed to be put in sideways, but if you clip the cable ties

that hold the wire harness it is manageable. I am very happy with the way my allroad runs now, it is so great to get in a car that you know isn't going to buck, and misfire when cold. I'm wondering if you let you car idle for a while before going that you never had any cold start problem. Maybe you keep you car in a garage, or your injectors are oriented differently then stock already? Todd is looking for more input from guys who have the injectors rotated, he emailed out of the blue after my posting on S4 board about injector orientation looking for more details on my car. I'm sure Todd would be glad to get rid of all the talk about cold start problems with the AWE RSK04 kit. : )

You don't need to remove the fuel rail, just loosen the 4 bolts that hold it down, and then you can rotate the injectors by hand, at least that's how I did it.

Default On rare occassions I've had a sputter right off a cold start.

It reminds me of my carborated days when a V8 was cold and running rich. IIRC there is a plunger on the carb that would force extra fuel into the manifold when you would depress the gas. It would load up the motor creating a hesitation until the squirt of fuel burned off. (can't remember the name of that part of the carb...half heimers).

Anyway, my car is garaged but I never idle it before going somewhere. I will say the most evident time when I'm at the track after a session and cool down. The car will sit and then when I go back to get ready for the next session, invariably I'll get some initial hesitation.

So, I'll give the rotation a try. I know where the tie-wraps are so that won't be a problem to clip and rotate. Again, orient the injector plugs TOWARD the head?

Default I'll email you, and Li3ny the info I have on injectors, and orientation(maybe take a pic).

The spray pattern the injector makes really shows that the injector should be put in the way it is in my car for the spray pattern to be right with the 3 intake valve design.

You , and Li3ny are the only AWE RSK04 cars on board correct? I don't follow A6 board much anymore.
