Obviously didn't read the post.
Your response highlights why they need to make a Cougar. You and I don't want to associate with the Mustang GT image; but at the same time, younger drivers have moved on to high-strung imports and turbo neons.

The Cougar name was especially sullied when they...
came out with that ugly Eclipse-alike in the late 90s. Obviously aimed at younger drivers, it was only laughed at by ricers, and otherwise largely ignored.

There will be a GT version of the 'Stang with the IRS setup soon. I'd rather stay with the Ford, personally. You can be sure there will be an SVT version with Ford GT tweaks.
