If you chip a tip, get the Giac Tranny chip. It is the only tranny chip that speeds up the shifts.
CHips will put you at about 310-320hp at the crank, not the wheels. YOu would need to run about 370-380hp at the crank to get the 310-320HP at the wheels. You are probably running in the range of 220-260hp at the wheels. APR chip has alot of torque, around 360-370lbs.. The 5HP19 tranny is rated around 308-310lbs. There is some engr fluff in that number.
I think the turbos will go before the tranny will. But the tranny cost a heck of alot more to replace : )). CHipping will reduce the lifespan of the tranny, but it seems if you have a good tranny they have lasted for 50k chipped miles so far. WHo knows when failures will start occuring.
