How much over/under Invoice did you pay for your A6? and when & where? I have a co-worker who is
in the market for a 2002 A6 3.0 Tip with everything, but Nav. Invoice lists at: $33,700 as the base, $4487 in options & Destination charge of $575 for a total of: $38,753.00
The first dealer he went to has offered it for $1400 over Invoice at $40,153.00 Is that a good deal on this A6 in the Philly, PA area? I know I paid less percentage-wise over invoice for my 01.5 A4 1.8tqmscc in July 2001, but that's probably because they wanted to move out the 01.5s for the 02s.
I'm about to call my sales guy at a different dealer, so let me know ASAP. He wants to finalize a deal today through the weekend, if possible.

Got mine for $1,000 over invoice back in July-->
in New England. You need to go in prepared. I got pricing from a number of the online buying services like AutoByTel etc then went to the dealer. He matched the best price in a minute.

That sounds pretty good for a brand new car so early in its first year
Of course, your friend can try beating the "poor economic times" bit to death and see if the dealership is hurting.
Did you check carsdirect.com? They seem to run the lowest markups and will cheerfully tell you right off the bat.
