HP2 Caliper
Are the HP2 calipers found on 2001 A8s, A6s (4.2 & 2.7)and S4s all interchangeable? Were they used on later model A6s (2003 etc.)and would these be also interchangeable?

Check the p/n for specific differences but it looks like the basic caliper will fit all those years...the brackets are different and the hose mounting changes...They all use the same pads!!

NAPA does not have these in stock and they would have to be ordered from a distributor. How would I check the part numbers? I do not understand why NAPA has a listing for the 2001 A6 4.2 and the 2001 S4 but not the A6 2.7T. Would all 2001 HP2s be the same part number and the part numbers changed in different years?
I don't know if I am explaining correctly what I'm trying to say.
I may call ECS Tuning tomorrow as you suggested in the other post about a rebuilding kit.
