Thinking of getting a set in 8.5" X 18" and putting
245/40 X 18 Michelin PS2's on them for non-winter driving.
Are they worth their high cost, and should I get them with a painted or brushed aluminum finish (adds
about $700 to the cost of 4 wheels)?
Would appreciate input from any who have or had them
along with any alternate suggestions.

I have hit monstrous stuff with the BBS LM's, which are forged - and are strong as **** man. I could throw one of these out the window of a 3 story building, it would break through the concrete - and still roll true. They are unreal.
HRE's are supposedly very strong as well. My friend is rocking the HRE 540's and he loves em, and has absolutely smashed over potholes and stuff with no adverse issues. He's running 19 by 8.5"s, on his S4 slammed to the ground in Bklyn, NY.
By comparison - the RS4 Reps at 18" diam. are like playdough compared to the LM's at 20" diam.
****, I think I should run the LM's as my winter wheels, and run the 18" reps as my summers - the LM's will most likely fare much better (jk.)

is completely a beauty is in the eye of the beholder thing - and is it worth it to you.
The HRE was the wheel I was going to get when I fell into my BBS LM 20" deal. And I absolutely could not pass it up.

It's much appreciated.
By the way, what material did you tint your windows with? And is 35% ever a problem at night on really dark roads?
