This doesn't always happen, but the roads in my area are being resurfaced and sometimes when I go over from a portion that's been cut out onto the uncut road, the sudden jarring also creates a weird undercarriage hum and vibration of sorts. Much like the type of noise you would hear when you strike a tuning fork (except this vibrates the entire car too!). Any ideas what this would be?

I'm a Taxi driver in the UK and I travel over a particular piece of road about 6 - 10 times a day and in the exact same place I get a humming noise and the sensation that I am driving over very small rumble strips ............ causes the car to vibrate and resonate
