Default HVAC Blows Hot no matter what temp is set - 5 fault codes, can anyone point the right direction?

The climate control only blows hot no matter what temperature is set - both sides behave the same.

I VAG COM'd & got:

01809 - Actuating Motor for Temperature Flap: Left (V158) 41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

00710 - Defroster Flap Positioning Motor (V107)41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

01810 - Actuating Motor for Temperature Flap: Right (V159)41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

01272 - Positioning Motor for Central Flap (V70)
41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

01274 - Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor (V71)
41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

Before I begin chasing wires & connectors I thought I'd poll AW for any help or where to start...
I do have the Bentley manual.

Thanks,

Default all of the connectors are more or less readily handy once you pull the dash...

:-) They are pretty buried. If you can bear to pull the center stack stuff out of hte way, they are all on the front of the HVAC assembly. It's actually not as bad as you might think to get the center stuff out of the way.

Default if you haven't already, check those fuses. I hope that's all it is, this could be a hard one

to chase.

Default Cake.....

Your problem most likely isn't related to your fault codes....as those are all intermittant and your problem isn't.

Check the blocks for the two outside temp sensors. One of them will display a reading that is low; replace that sensor.

Common problem.

Default So, it's not out of the realm of possibility that a connector became dislodged?

Is there somewhere in the Bentley that shows an illustration of the connectors besides the cryptic wiring diagrams? Maybe all the flap motors are on one connector?

Not looking forward to this one...but it's gotta get rectified before April - ROAD TRIP!!

Default Re: Cake Follow-Up

Ok, so I checked the block (007, field #2 & 3) and the Fresh Air Intake Duct Temp was 27 C and the Outside Air Temp was 16 C. This was after letting the blower run on AUTO for 1 minute as per the bentley.

At best, it's 45 F in the garage right now...sooo....niether is "low".

Thanks again for the help!!

Default All of your internal organs are more or less readily handy....once you crack the sternum and...

spread the ribs... 8-)

...coming from someone who had that done at the age of 35. 8-(

Cheers,

Does it quit blowing hot if set to "Lo"??

If not, then it's NOT the sensors as it appears you've confirmed.

That sucks
