HVAC lights go bright/dim, tach drops to zero, ESP&CE light come on - part V AOA Warranty DENIED
Well, I called yesterday after not receiving a call back for over a month. AOA politely told me they declined my warranty concern. Would have been nice if they'd have called to say this.
As a recap, I had documented and complained for over a year that my instrument cluster was lighting up like an X-Mas tree but to no avail as the dealership couldn't reproduce the problem (of course, it's an intermittant electrical problem).
So, even though it was under warranty and I couldn't bring the car in while it was exhibiting the problem until just after the warranty ran out I thought I had a good case.
After asking for them to reconsider, I received a call today stating that they would cover 50% of the costs only. Thanks a lot I guess. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and it'll impact my next purchase. SIGH. Bottom line, I have 30 days to consider this and I'll be out $400. I am not happy at all.

HVAC lights go bright/dim, tach drops to zero, ESP&CE light come on - part IV DIAGNOSED

Do they know what the problem is yet that they have offered 50% of to fix?
Sorry. saw your link at the bottom.. so you reported this problem while under warranty and they now believe you after the warranty is out? You have proof that this problem existed months ago and you reported it.. They should be liable..

That is their problem not yours.. Did they think you were lying to them?
It is their failure to find the problem you reported therefore they did not take proper measures to find it.. its their fault and they are responsible
