The RS2, the original "RS" model, was assembled by Porsche, hence the Porsche wheels and brakes found on the car. Porsche worked with Audi on the development and possibly the assembly (IIRC).
Hence the little Porsche moniker on the badge.

if you search well enough you should be able to find a nice thread about the RS2
i remember we discussed it a couple of months back. I think the original thread started over some questions regarding importing the RS2 into America. Very rare...beautiful, i saw one in person =)
