I got one too - 2001 A6 2.7
Wow. I just picked it up last night. Silver, satin black interior, enhanced sports package, premium, preferred, bose. It had those 17s on it but I had them swap them out for the Sport 16s. It is absolutely incredible. Wow. Wow. Wow. I still can't stop grinning.

I have a '00 2.7, when 17's were not available. I got the PSK sport package but wasn't crazy about the wheels, so I had the dealer swap with the standard 2.7 wheels (same exact size). I have had people ask why I did not get the sport package, which I did, because they recognize the wheels as non-sports. Oh well. Like you said - they weren't my style.
