Never plug a radial tire. only patch them. Unsafe for track now.

Default If the hole is repaired properly...plug, plus inside patch...I doubt there will be a problem...

I doubt you will achieving much higher than 100 mph on the track...I would think, even with the high lateral loads on the track around corners, I doubt you'd have a blowout related to the tire repair...I've never had a problem with any of the 8 patches I had in my tires on the Audis...although they haven't been tracked...but they were over 130 mph with the plugs...

But, Kumhos are cheap...to be "safer" (maybe)...get a new set that you only use for track.

Default agrre. I hate to say this, but this is a dumb question. Just think of the heat the track produces

vs regular driving

Default DO NOT TRACK PLUGGED TIRES!!!

I am shouting because I know of no track that will allow you to run with plugged or patched tires and when yours blows while tracking I don't want you plowing into me! You have a $40-50K car don't take a chance by relying on a "fixed" $400 dollar tire. If you want to track, do it right.
If your not sure still, then make sure you let the instructor at the track know about your tire prior to arrival. It could be a liability issue.
