Default How could it not be covered, as long as you have followed the maint guide - i.e. you have less than
the mileage at which the TB is supposed to be changed - used to be 105k, but I hear it has been revised in newer models.

I have a 2000 4.2 I was going re place at about 80k now the car has 74K miles

did your timing belt fail?....probably was one of the other related parts that caused the failure

My belt did not fail I was just curious if the warranty would cover a failed TB

Default oic....i have always heard that the 4.2 is the least likely to have a tb go bad
out of all the models
