I used a Fram last time, same boat, couldn't find a Bosch or Mann anywhere and had to change the oil. The Fram was large, and did have the internal check valve, best I could tell. Motor hasn't blown up yet!

What exactly is this internal check valve? I have heard quite a bit about it but never really understood it or read an explanation of what it is or does.

Thanks!

Default It doesn't allow oil to drain after engine shutdown thereby preventing start up from

dry condition

Order on–line. DO NOT USE FRAM oil filters, they'll runin your engine.
