Default A6 4.2. If it was a choice between a 4.2 and an S8, then I would probably lean away
from the 4.2.

Default A6, size. A8's too damn long for my garage, and it just reeks too much of "luxobarge"
for my tastes. Sport seats, don't need a cell phone or bullhorn to talk to rear seat passengers, etc. No offense bach.

as long as I had room in the garage.

Really no contest in my book ( and yes I have both a V8 A6 ( ok RS6 but who's counting ) and an A8L )

Default Both are rare -- one has big back seat, other has gigantic back seat
Take your pick. A6 probably has somewhat better handling.

Default Actually TheBrit had an RS6 and an A8L (W12)
in the twisties the A8 actually was the better car if memory serves correctly.

had an A8 (short wheel base) as a loaner for a few days, loved it. not enough to give up my S6.
