assuming you have about 35 to 50k miles on it. As bad as the new car market is, the used cars aren't doing much better simply because lack of factory incentives and low financing to boost sale of used cars. So the only way is to lower the buying prices for trade in.
I bought new 2001 2.7t that I bought in 2002 and just out of curiousity asked the trade in value from Audi hoping to get the new S4 just last month and I got $28,000 even though I only have 17k on it and with a MSRP o f$45,500 when new. Not willing to accept that fact I stopped by two other dealers and got similar offer. One is $26,500 the other said they will beat the $28,000 but not ny much. So don't feel too bad.
