I'm really disappointed that on paper, my friend's '01 GS300 is worth $2-3k more than my car.

Default I'm really disappointed that on paper, my friend's '01 GS300 is worth $2-3k more than my car.
Similarly equipped, and he has more miles. If anything, mine's better equipped/has more subtle accoutrements. I've driven his car... it ain't no fun.

If that makes you feel bad, how does the fact that real world price is closer to 5k make you feel?

Default You should always buy your car for the resale value
if that is what is important to you.

Or, buy it used and get a great deal.
