I'm on second pair of non-OEM pre-cat O2 sensors. Should I break down and buy OEM ones?

The car still doesn't run as it did before the OEM ones went bad. The range never reads in the 400's on a full tank like it used to and now it takes forever for the range to climp up when on the freeway.

"Universals" aren't.

What do you mean? That OEM universals are no good either?

Go to the Bosch site and see what they recommend for your car.

Default Hit the junque yard.

I bought (3) 4 wire O2 sensors for $20.00. All were in working condition after I spliced them into the correct connector for the car - a '99 Mustang. Why spend more than you have to sometimes? They are still working 2 years later.

Default No such thing as an OEM universal. OEM is OEM.

A "one size fits all" O2 sensor is like a "one size fits all" shoe: you have to really expand your definition of the specifications...almost to the point that something that "fits" in basically useless.

Are those the ones you have to splice and dice together?
