Default Impossible part to find used. Anyone have a PN?

Hi folks,
Im looking for the rubber trim that goes around the headlamps.
I plan to recondition the lens soon and would like to put new rubber stripping around them. Here is a picture of the part im looking for. Any one have a part number for this? Or a source for a used set?
Here is a picture with the white lines pointing to the piece im looking for.
Thanks!

Default Tried calling the dealer?

They can easily look that up and give you a quote. With small stuff like that, sometimes the prices are quite reasonable.

Other times, they might tell you something like "that rubber seal is not available on it's own, you would have to replace the whole headlight assembly... would you like to finance it?"

What year A6? Assuming you have xenons (looks that way in your picture), here are the part numbers for you...

2002-2004 A6 (V6 models only):
4B0-941-192-A (right)
4B0-941-191-A (left)

1998-2001 A6 (V6 models only)
4B0-941-192 (right)
4B0-941-191

They are not cheap, retail for about $60 each! If you go to genuineaudiparts.com you can get them for about $44 each.

Ha. Who did I think I was trying to kid with that whole "reasonable" bit...

Just do what I do, tell yourself they're "RS6 upgrades".

I used the 3M kit. Here is a post I did last fall on the process. The only thing I would do differently if I did this again is to scuff up the lenses first with a sanding block and 250 grit sandpaper, so as to not waste the nice sanding discs inclued in the kit.
