So had another eventful weekend with the A6. Ordered my *NEW* Suction Pump from World Impex it arrived Friday afternoon. I got home from work and went to work with the help of AudiSean's Write-Up posted **HERE**
[Big Thanks to AudiSean for his Write-Up it wasvery helpful as a guide

Now here is where my **PROBLEM** arises...
As I was working to pop the top of the new suction pump in I heard a "cracking" noise. I figured it was just plastic making a weird noise, but just as I placed the top of the hose onto the new suction pump the sound went from okay to REALLY BAD!!! Here are the results...

I don't have a clue what exactly I broke...
Anybody have any clues as to what this part is???
It has two very hard pieces of plastic attached to two the sides.
The top side has a very short hose that plugs directly to the suction pump.
This is the best way I can describe it...
The "red circle" is the valve...the "red tubes" are the plastic hoses coming off of the valve connecting to where they should.

So again, if anybody knows anything about what I broke off and how to fix it, that would be great!

I wasn't sure if I could use heater hose or not. I figured I would almost have to replace the entire piece. This is real good news though.
Thanks again!

That PCV tubing is brittle at best. It would probably hold up better if it were made of glass.
Mine came apart when pulling the other end off the valve cover to change cam adjuster seals this past spring. What you see in the picture is exactly how it looks right now. I had some pieces of clear vinyl tubing that I spliced together with the braided stuff.
The multiple red arrows are braided rubber vacuum lines I've replaced with 15-year old used Honda extras I have.
I leave the beauty cover off so as not to further bake anything else.
