Installing License Plate Bracket
Greetings all. I need to install a front license bracket on 2.7t. I have the bracket mounting kit but it does not seem to be a good match to the contours of the bumper.
I have verified with TFA that I do have the correct part number 4B0 807 265 A-3FZ. Additionally I don's see any markings on the bumper that would indicate where exactly to mount it. I was hoping some of you out there may have some experience mounting the bracket or even have some pics with it showing the mating between bumper and bracket. Thanks in advance.
Michael Benno.

I would love to but I live in MN were front license plates are REQUIRED and rigorously enforced.
I tried to get away from installing a front plate on my Urq (rare undrilled front bumper). I recieved no less than two $70 tickets and a further warning once I had ordered the parts.
Personally I would like to save the $140 for upgrades.

Most people here would die to have an undrilled front bumper. I think Stoney has a FAQ on how to mount it without that stupid mounting bracket and drilling into the front. That way, when you are going somewhere that does not require a front plate, you can remove it, plain and simple.

Just go to an Audi dealer and let them do it right. I left mine off for year and a half <Illinos> but after a local and a staties gave me warnings, went and had Audi do it.
