Installing Navigation System - Need Schematic Help
I am installing a Pioneer navigation system in my 2001 A6 and need to hook a wire to the speed sensor to measure vehicle speed. I have a 1997 A6 and the wiring passes through a connector located behind the passenger side kickplate. Does anyone know if this connector is in the same location on the 2001 and if the connector pinout is the same if it is there? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Here's what I would do...
I think you can find the speed sensor wire behind the radio. You have a Symphony I head unit. THis model has a feature called "GALA" (check the owners manual for details). GALA adjusts the volume of the radio to compensate for the speed of the car.
Search the Audio Forum for a picture of the wiring harness behind the Symphony I. I am sure one of those wires is for GALA.
Good luck!
