Instrument Cluster Removal

Well, finally had enough after years of watching the center LCD get worse and worse. Pulled it tonight and sending it to Module Masters in am. Question: While the cluster is out is there anything else that should be done? And for anyone doing something similar in future, you can skip step 5 in the Module Master instructions for the removal. There is no need to cut any cable ties, at least in my 01' A6 2.7t. Best tip I found was to put a towel on the steering column to avoid scratching.

I have a 2000 A6 2.7t and tried to remove the Instrument Cluster and did not succend. I could not get the top of the cluster out, bottom was easy to pull but the top gets stuck. Any suggestions?

Look for a tech article in the resources section. It was written by 'AudiSean' and it show the entire process, with pictures.
