interchangeability on wheels, offset?

considering picking up 16' wheels from forum member with 2000 2.7T. Am I correct that HE would have trouble with MY wineglass wheels but not the reverse? Thanks.

the winegalss wheels will not fit over the hp2 calipers...according to my sources...8^)

Thanks. My concern was the reverse, 5 spokes from 2.7T fitting my standard A6.
