Default Intermittent ABS/ESP lights sometimes together, sometimes separate = bad brake light switch.........

FYI for those that are STFA for faulty brake light switch: My ABS and ESP lights were coming on intermittently, sometimes together, sometime separately, I thought failing ABS module. Then brake lights stayed on with car off, key out. I STFA and found others with same issues and it turned out to be a faulty brake light switch, replaced under warranty. No issues now. That is all.

So you did replace the switch, and are reporting that as the solution?

Default That is correct, tried to put relevant info in subject line for those who may STFA for similar...

problems. Yes, switch was replaced by dealer under warranty and no problems at the moment, appears to be the solution this time for my particular situation. When I searched the forums for ABS/ESP lights, most times people had ABS module issues or wheel speed sensor problems. When my brake lights got "stuck" on, I was at 45k miles and had to bring it in for the regular service anyway, my wife called Audi Roadside Assistance and they put it on a flatbed and brought it to the dealer. She was afraid to drive it to the dealer with the brake lights always on or with the fuse pulled and none at all. They delivered it back to me 2 days later, fixed, serviced and cleaned, and the kid with the tattoos all over his neck who drove it was very nice and didn't even spill his Red Bull in it.
Good dealer experience this time!

Default Replacing the switch solved my problem with the ABS and ESP lights but...

I had a different symptom with the brake lights. Mine wouldn't illuminate. Switch cost me $18.50.
