Yes, I've STFA ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
My car had the CD changer in the trunk ... but it kept giving me ERR3's and then it finally jammed up and refused to eject.
I took it out of my car to try and fix it ... and my dog decided that it needed to bite / attack / slobber all over it while I was napping.
Soooo it's time to integrate my 30GB ipod into the car.
I found, through Stoney's links and found <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/602858.phtml">this thread</a> talking about the US-Spect PA11-VW device, which seems like it would work.
There's a newer version <a href="http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/USASPEC_PA11_VW6.html">available </a> that claims it should work, as long as I get an adapter cable that connects the 13-pin cd changer cable to an 8-pin cable. (<a href="http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=843">see here</a>)
Has anyone done this specifically? Any caveats?
I'm looking for an "easy" way to get my ipod into my car, and to add XM / Sirius at a later date through an AUX input, and this seems like a great way to go.
Also ... does anyone have a source for a shorter adapter cable (the shortest I could find was 16 feet!) ... or a schematic so I can create my own adapter?
TIA,
Charles

<a href="http://www.enfig.com">Enfig Car Stereo</a>. Christian will hook you up. It is an easy 25 minute install. You will also need radio removal tools which you can buy from eBay. DICE comes with an easy to install harness that hooks between the CD changer and the head unit. You can run the wires into your glovebox. I suggest DICE over Icelink because DICE allows use of the iPod clickwheel whereas Icelink locks it rendering song/album/artist selection very difficult. But they are both installed the same way. You can check out this great write-up by SouthboroAudiGuy<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/611854.phtml">iPod Integration</a></li></ul>

Can the Denison Icelink plug into the CD changer output in the trunk, or is it only to the headunit?
