I was told by my dealer that it wasn't a popular color choice and probably would not be offered past this next year. Their theory? It's not a masculine color, and most of the Audi customers seem to be men. I almost ordered one in that same color but ended up getting a better deal on a cashmere grey which had been ordered for someone else. (I guess I am a guy who has a touch of the feminine side.)
Enjoy your car-it's a neat color.

I was very interested in this color back about 2 months ago when I was ordering a car. But I had never actually seen Jaspis Green, and the salesman had only seen one or two. Further the dealership had none on order that I could eventually see. I posted the problem in this forum and about 75% didn't favor the color. So I ordered a 'safe' silver. I'de still like to see one, but when you are spending this much money, I tend to play it safe.

The fact that you aren't seeing them around is going to make it even more enjoyable.

I have a Jaspis Green 2.7t. I love it. However, the color has been dropped for 2001 models.

Default Have you ever seen one in person?

It's a very special color (as they say in the world of the PC) which will not appeal to everyone.

A local dealer once had a Jaspis w/ green leather A6 on the lot! Said they got it as a "reward" for meeting some quota. Sounds more like the booby prize of all time!

BMW has a purple that also fits into this "ya gotta love it" category called aubergine. I have also had the misfortune to see an aubergine 528 with aubergine leather!

Yes, I've also heard that the Jaspis Green was considered a more feminine color. I myself have never seen one. Nor have I seen one in Tornado Red. I did see a picture of one though, I think in the lastest C&D. I don't particularly like the red, because it distracts from the taillight styling.

Default My car is Jaspis Green and

woman do seem to like the color more, but I'm very happy with it. I like a color that you don't see all the time. And the fact that it's been discontinued is all the better! It really goes great with the Melange interior.
