Default hope you have a manual for putting it back together,
the torque sequence is rather involved.

torque is 11 Nm, but the pattern is way complicated, a picture would be best

well, treat the bolts like you would on a head.

bently says torque in sequence, run the engine for 5 min, then retorque to 11Nm. also, use new gaskets~~

Default Nope. And no matter what I do, it will still be better than the way it was.
Half of the bolts holding the manifold down were loose.

Default 2.8s supposedly have oil pressure valve(s) under that cover.
And they are responsible for low/high pressure in the heads, which in turn turns on/off valve lifters clatter.
