Just changed over from dino to 0-40 Mobil 1 yesterday. This morning the engine sounded
louder as it revved, like around 2-3k rpm. Like there was play in the valve train? Startup was fine.
Is this common? I was hoping that the 40 weight would be thick enough?

2nd. Absolutely nothing to worry about.
Flipside is that oil will be up in the valvetrain almost instantly whereas thicker dino oil would take a little longer, especially in the cold.
