Default Just put Aquapel on my windshield -- should I just get rid of my wipers???

It rained this morning on the way to work, and never even needed the wipers.

This stuff is SWEET!

Default Where did you get it?

Only saw RainX at walmart. RainX makes my wipers shudder really bad!

Default These type of products are cool, but....

You knew there had to be a "but" with it didn't you. These type of products work in varying degrees, but their common attribute is that they are like a drug. You have to keep using it to maintain it's effectiveness. If you stop using it, and it starts wearing off (which it will over time), your windshield will look 10x worse than without it, which forces you to reapply.

This isn't an issue as long as you're aware of it and continue to reapply.

Ah yes...there are always drawbacks and naysayers. I used to use Rain-X as well and found that it would gum up on the outside of my windshield causing the wipers to "stick" In addition, applying the stuff was inconvenient. I have since started using Rain-X washer fluid and I can say that I will NEVER use anything but this stuff. It's 2 bucks a gallon and worth every penny, doesn't gum up and actually works better than plain ol Rain-X. The best part is to apply it all you have to do is run the window washers.....

Aquapel lasts for about 6 months. I only put it on twice a year.

Default haha - told you so : ) Honestly - you could get Silblades or PIAA silicone wipers...

That would be an insane setup. I have silblades on my wrx and they are AWESOME. Pricey, but they come with a 5 year warranty!

This isn't rain-x. It will last 6-12 months depending on your weather.

Default Paid ~$7.50 incl shipping from a guy on ebay (more)

There are two guys selling the stuff.

I bought it from the guy who uses paypal (the other doesn't).

Very good transaction....he ships it from west coast somewhere. Got it 4 days after I ordered (I live on east coast).
