Default They will use it if it matches specs. (edited)

As long as it's in the recommended range they'll have no problem with it. Unlikely they'll credit you back for their unused oil, but you can ask. For example they won't do it for Audi covered maintenance.

Check Stoney's link, but I would think 5-30 (edit)is good for you in the summer. Since it's cold there, you might go with something lighter, like 0-30 or 0-40.

Default Cool, but I don't have the time to shop for filters, and get them right now.

Plus, all in all, how much did you end up spending before the $10 service? Was it at, around or over $60 in all? If so, time saved is money well spent since I want to get it done with ASAP.

Another question was filter types which IIRC the 4.2's that did not use Audi filters ended up having some slight issues (codes? or something).

This dealer is a few miles from the office. Just using the forum so I know what to expect as I like to come in with some sort of a clue

I think I've found what I need.

Thanks to all who participated.

I'm going to just get it done tomorrow.

I have been using 0W40 in the winter and summer is there any harm in doing this? Or should I switch to 0W30 in the winter. In the North East so it get's cold.

Thanks
