Default

The TT/Golf/Jetta etc have totally different front suspension setups from B5/C5 .

Default Well understood before my comment was made - OWK's post just made me wonder

wonder why a product that works so well in one configuration had fitment and performance issues in another. It's common that products don't always adapt to different configurations, but I was curious as to why in this case. Not sure I've answered my own question technically, but if someone's got a ready answer I'd love to be educated. (the 4 door comment was a joke, btw ;-p)

Default Well, by teh looks of the product, they are replacement inner control arm bushings..

The inner bushings on the B5/C5 arms are not readily replaceable.. You can often do more harm than good by pressing out and in a new bushing...

Default I had them installed on my 4.2 after lowering with KW coilovers. At the time..

it was because the negative camber really affected the way the car handled in the snow and ice. The bonus was the reduction in tire wear and in tramlining issues.

Default You mean this might screw up an aluminum arm? ;-)

Default then you probably wouldn't want to see how he got the old ones out either!

I actually thought it was kinda clever in a "necessity being the mother of invention" way, but no, I'd never try it.

Default wow, that 4.2 is slammed...how's the ride?

didn't even know KW had coilover for the A6.
How much do they go for?

Do you track it? What variant is this one?

Default They're the Variant 1. I got them thru a group buy for around $1150 I think.

The ride is harsh for sure. Sometimes I really regret the choice. Other times, on the right road, I love it. Between the KW's and the H-Sport sways it really handles fantastically. I've been meaning to track it but haven't yet for one reason or another.
