My key fob is broken where I press it to lock the car. It pretty much looks like ware & tear, can I get one of the key fobs from ebay and just switch the outside case ? Id like to fix that instead of it having a little hole in it or buying one from the dealer at such high prices.. TIA....

yep, just have to swap your old key into that fob and reprogram.

Can I reprogram it with a VAG? Or do I have to go to the dealer ?

In "step 3," push the unlock button twice as mentioned in the last line of the tech article, otherwise your remote that is in the ignition will be deprogrammed.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc13.shtml">click here</a></li></ul>
