Default Key question

I searched to see if I could find the answer but no luck so does anyone know if you can program a switchblade key remote if the only other key I have is a valet key. I tried the proceedure in the FAQ but dont know if I am doing it wrong or something else???

Default One option...

Not sure why (or if) a valet key makes a difference, but you can always unplug the "full" key from the remote piece of the fob. Use that key in the ignition and the valet key in the door. Then you can "learn" the unplugged remote fob. There's no way the valet key would affect it then, since there's no key-reading electronics in the door lock.

Default Re: Key question

A search through your Owner's Manual should turn up the method of doing this. My Owner's Manual is very clear and concise. In fact, I used my Owner's Manual just this weekend to re-prpgram wife's and mine.

Try your manual. Lots of info in there.
