Turbos huh? Audi's supposedly leaning away from them, BMW's starting to use 'em?

Default We'll see how long that lasts when BMW owners discover chipping.

Of course BMW has reletively few engineer/programmer types buying their cars, so maybe it won't happen as much, and the owners might be willing to spend the money to do it correctly - not try try to engineer their own.

Default Oh but there are plenty buying them...

Mostly young programmer/engineer clones who buy the BMW because that's what the rich kids in college had. They were poor then. Now that they have some cash, the BMW is an easy choice. Sorta like buying IBM in the early 80's. I know this is stereotyping but I have empirical data to support my conclusion.

Think S4 driver, but lots more of 'em.

I'll go get my Nomex suit now :-)
