Hi All.
I have a 2004 A6 2.7t. Recently had valve covers done by a mechanic, but they are leaking oil out the rear corners. The driver's side turbo is also pushing oil into the intercooler. I think this is an overpressure problem, but the PCV valve is stuck open. I have it and the spider pipe off and can blow and suck through the valve. This would tell me that the valve covers do not have excessive pressure though. The cam plugs have leaked in the past. Can see old residue and dirt on the cam plugs. I think they would leak if the valve cover gaskets would not be. Have the motor and trans out of the car and now am checking the seals on the turbo. My opinion is once a leak path has been started, it will not seal well. This is why the turbo is getting inspected.
Anyone have questions for me or have the answer to make sense of this?
Thanks.

He probably didnt use silicone in the corners like your suppose to. And it most likley needs a Chain tensioner and rear cam plug re seal like they ALL need every 80-100k. If you think its the turbos just because they have oil on the bottom and on them, its coming down the cam plugs onto them. i see it all the time. Only time i see any turbo leak is the drain pipe to turbo gasket

if the valve pan covers are leaking it could be that the bolts are not torqued properly, the threading is worn or the valve pan seals are not set correctly.. makes sure the covers are cleaned properly used fuel to clean the seams get them dirt and sludge free the oil the valve pan rubber seals and set them properly in the grooves. leaking valve pan covers has nothing to do with the turbo... now if your BOV is stuck open the spring retainer is bad or u can try adjusting it closed... you will not get any boost with that open...... if excess oil is passing through your BOV turbo seals are gone...
