Glad everyone is safe. Some IMPORTANT advise.....
Get an independent insurance adjuster to do your house contents inventory. The insurance company will require that every single item be documented and valued.
If all contents were destroyed beyond recognition, there should be a blanket contents amount (possibly a % of house value), in which case the independent adjuster might not be necessary.
When I had to go through the insurance deal on my mother's house, I couldn't believe how much detail was contained in the independent adjuster's report, I could NEVER have done it myself. The insurance company adjuster went through it at the house line by line (we're talking MANY pages single spaced).
If you're in the CT area, I'll give you his name. If not, I can still give you his name as he might know someone in your area. He recommended someone to my wife's co-worker from TN and they were supposedly great.
Again, very sorry for your hassle, but "stuff" can be replaced.

It's just metal, wood, and plastic. Glad you're all OK. Not to sound like a vulture...
...but do you have a couple more pics? Reason I ask, the fire investigator here at the office has looked at 2 Audi fires and was curious what might have gone up in yours.
