Default Length of Intake Manifold Linkage Arms?

Can anyone confirm the length of the Intake Manifold Linkage Arms for a C5 S6?
I'm assuming they're 1-1/2", but I won't have access to my car til this weekend, and was looking to get the part ordered today. Thanks.

How many of these arms do you need? I have one spare one.

dang, i already ordered the set but I only needed one... I should probably replace them in pairs anyways, b/c i'm assuming the other will break eventually.

good looking out!

Return them, I'll sell this one to you for $10, shipped. Get your intake manifold working right, remove them and reinstall them carefully, and they'll never break.

my intake manifold is working fine, its the plastic linkage arms that broke and i'm replacing them with the gruvenparts billet aluminum arms...

are yours OEM plastic?

Yes, OEM. Why would the arms break if the manifold worked fine? Did you verify the functionality of the system?

Yeah, both arms extend and contract when I turn the engine on and then off... not sure how they broke.

At what rate do they move, under how many inches of vacuum? If you didn't pull them off and operate the arms by hand, you have no idea if theyre good. They should move as freely as throttle body butterfly valves, but with much stiffer springs. Just takes 5 minutes to unbolt the vacuum motors and let them hang so you can operate the levers by hand. If they stick at all, you need to lubricate them.

Just ordered a set for mine with the s8 manifold (which is the same as the s6)

You need the short set.

Cheers!
