Repost? If so, I hate it when I do that.
Marc Trahan is Audi's Director of Product Management & Quality. In this capacity he and his team are responsible for all aspects of product development, oversight of current models, technical analysis and quality. Prior to that he was Audi's Director of Aftersales where he built a new department at Audi of America, Inc. responsible for the various aspects of after the sale customer care.
Trahan's career with Audi spans nearly 25 years and covers virtually every facet of product service, support, planning and development. Among his accomplishments, he served as the company's product management leader, during which he was instrumental in expanding Audi of America's product portfolio and bringing the coveted "S" performance models to the United States as well as the Audi A4. Given the technology transfer that Audi has enjoyed from motor sports, he is also responsible for Audi Sport North America.
A native of Vermont, he currently resides in Oakland Township, Mich., with his wife, Jane, and two children.<ul><li><a href="http://www.edmunds.com/townhall/chat/audia6chat111704.html">Chat w/Audi</a></li></ul>

And very knowledgable. I wish AudiWorld had the clout (and platform) to host something like this. I recommend attending if you want the straight scoop.
Incidentally, I spent some time with Marc and the other AoA executives earlier in the week at the short lead press launch. This is a fantastic new car.

I hope to god that Marc Trahan (and whomever else is concerned and involved) can help Audi get things together enourmously with Audi's quality, reliability/dependability and customer service here in North America so that here in North America, Audi can enjoy the same high ratings in quality, reliability/durability and customer service and high resale value and excellent brand image that they enjoy so much overseas (especially Europe). This way, CR can recommend all Audi models due to average or above average reliability just like the A6 was through mid 2000 before CR could no longer recommend the A6 do to it's reliability falling below average, which has been the case for the last 4+ years. Audi would also do so much better all around with JD Power and Associates and Consumer Reports than they have been for the most part over the past few years. Puleez Audi, pull yourselves together, puleez?!!!!!

I know that I have bashed JD Power and Associates and Consumer Reports incessantly over the years. Truth be told, CR is excellent. And JD Power and Associates is accurate as often as they are inaccurate.
