...any hints or things to avoid in this year and model? The dealership is asking $29K CDN for the car--it's pretty loaded with auto tip, moonroof, leather, and it only has 70000km on it...which is about where my 2K2 Altima is at!

Any suggestions, warnings and words of wisdom are welcome!

that does sound a hair high on price, although the mileage (kilometerage?) is quite low. Does it come with a warranty? If not you might consider finding an extended warranty. I wouldn't know where to shop for one that works in Canada, so I won't even speculate. Does it have the premium audio? That's worth a bit extra.

I bought my A6 on eBay, which worked out really well. Check around on ebaymotors.com and see what you can find. You can get some amazing deals and you can have the car professionally inspected before you bid. Just a thought. Worked out great for me...I bought my loaded A6 about a year ago for under 19k US.
