Looking for certain springs...

Looking for certain springs...
for my 2.7t. I did a search and couldn't find anything useful.
I have this info:
"The H&R Sport Springs lower your car 1.75" front, 1.5" rear, and are 25-30%
stiffer than stock. The H&R Race Springs lower 1.9" front, 1.5" rear, and are
approx. 50% stiffer than stock."
I am looking for springs that will lower the car at most 1.5", but have a higher spring rate. I want the H&R Race, but I think it will sit to low and my wife will destroy the car. I think the height of my car looks pretty good for a stock car, but the handling is too sloppy for my liking.
Does Eibach have a Race spring for our car? I had H&R Race springs in my '95 Jetta GLX and it only lowered my car .5", which is what they claimed. That is why I thought I would go again with the Race spring, but it is almost a 2" drop.
How are the MTM springs? I heard they are real pricey.
Any info appreciated.

Go coilovers you will be MUCH happier...
I went with springs originally Eibach Pro Kit. Got the ride height I wanted but I was very unhappy with certain aspects. In particular the springs were now overated for the shocks so if you were at speed and hit undulating or rough road in a turn it made the car feel as though you were about to lose control. On a smooth road all was fine.
I ended up removing them and putting in the KV coilovers and am very happy now. Car handles better, rides better. And the best part is that you can adjust them to get the ride height that best suits your wheels and driving style.

Re: Looking for certain springs...
Vogtland offers springs for the A6 FWD, which offer a 1.6" lowering.
They're getting excellent reviews so far on A4 forum, and are definitely something worth looking into!
Email if you have any questions on them.
