Default Looking for a good wheel shop in Orange County...

I've used Wheel Warehouse in the past, they are pretty decent. Wondering if there is someone better. I'm looking at the OZ line. Thanks!

Tell me you're NOT putting aftermarket wheels on your RS 6!

I'm just considering it...I've seen some pictures that are very appealing.

Why not? The RS4 wheels are seemingly everywhere...go for it.

Default Seemingly, but in all honesty, how many have you seen on an A6 or RS 6?

Besides my own?

Ive only seen the original 17" celebration wheel on older body A4's and only twice have I seen an 18" 9 spoke version. One on an S6 (Nice!) another on the first RS 6 I ever saw (on the street, nice owner BTW). Also 18's on the ALMS TT's, only twice (both at the dealer service dept). The S8 version is different (again, at dealer, not on street or owned).

They are common, on the web and in catalogues but no one has 18 or the coveted 19" version which comes on the Euro RS 6.

Oh, I did see a replica set from The Wheel Exchange in 18" on a Dolphin A4 but they looked like replica's, the finish, and had the fake center caps as well.

Have not seen one A6 with them in person yet. Not even in our big city CARGASM.

I say get 19" 9 spoke RS 6 wheels and be the first in the US.

Default I said "seemingly" for the exact reasons you give.

First off, most all people are not going to have as discerning of an eye as you.

The 9-spoke design, or a very similar variation, has been available on almost every Audi line. Teamed with the fact that there is now far more availability of replicas, I foresee that you will start to see them much more often. I am fairly sure I have seen 19's (maybe they were 18's) on a black 4.2 at North/Clybourn, twice.

Also, since the RS6 is getting so much media coverage, a lot of people who otherwise would not consider new wheels will be very drawn to the 9-spoke design.

Personally, I am a big fan of the design, and would put it on my car in an instant, however, I feel it's going to become just like ZR1 wheel for Corvettes...the default upgrade.

These are just my opinions, and I take nothing away from those who have them. It's just that when I get new wheels in the spring, I don't want to see them on other cars.

BTW, cLord, thanks for the C&W recomendation, my car is there right now and thus far they have been great.

Default Re: Cool.

They are fixing my hood, front bumper, grill, and blending the fenders. While it is there they are also painting 4.2 door trim, LLTEK front spoilers, and installing my RS6 spoiler.

Default Re: Finman got the first stateside RS 6 Wheels

He put them on his S6 and ran them also on his Silver 4.2. He posted pictures of both on this forum . Do a search.

Regards, Jim
